Review submissions
When you submit a review, we collect your name, email address, optional company name, broad customer type, rating, review text and your permission to publish. Your identifying details are used privately to verify and moderate genuine feedback.
Only the review text, rating and broad description such as “Domestic customer” or “Commercial customer” are displayed publicly. Your name, company, email address and job location are not published.
Why we use this information
- To verify feedback and prevent false, abusive or spam submissions.
- To manage and respond to website enquiries.
- To publish an approved review anonymously where the reviewer has given permission.
- To protect the security and proper operation of the website.
We rely on our legitimate interests to verify, moderate and secure submissions. We rely on the reviewer’s consent to publish their review. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us.
How long we keep it
Review information is kept only for as long as needed for verification, moderation and publication. Unapproved submissions are removed when no longer required. Approved reviews may remain published until they are withdrawn, removed or no longer relevant. We periodically review the associated private verification details and delete or anonymise information that is no longer needed.
Who receives it
Private review details are available only to authorised CG Fire & Electrical personnel and the service providers used to host and secure the website. We do not sell personal information.
Your rights
You may ask us for access to your personal information, request correction or deletion, object to certain processing, or withdraw permission to publish a review. Contact chris@cgfe.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
